HUGE Parrotfish Beak

Absolutely massive. Only the third that I have offered.

Parrotfish are vibrant, tropical marine fish known for their beak-like teeth used to scrape algae from coral, playing a crucial role in reef health. They contribute to beach formation by excreting ingested coral as sand. Found in shallow tropical and subtropical oceans, parrotfish vary in size and can change sex during their life. Their bright colors serve as camouflage, and some create mucous cocoons at night for protection. Their grazing maintains coral reef balance, but they face threats from overfishing and habitat destruction, underscoring the importance of conservation efforts.

Measures 6 1/2" high and 4 1/2" wide.
